Cirrus Logic Adds Walden Rhines to Board of Directors.

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1995--Cirrus Logic Inc. (Nasdaq: CRUS) today announced the appointment of Walden C. Rhines, 48, to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Rhines brings a wealth of experience in technology-related industries, including more than 20 years of experience in semiconductors, to the Cirrus Logic Board. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics Corporation, a maker of electronic design automation products. Before joining Mentor Graphics, he was Executive Vice President, Semiconductor Group, at Texas Instruments Inc., with direct responsibility for that company's worldwide semiconductor business.

Rhines has also served as Chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Open Systems, as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers' Association (CBEMA), and as a board member of Sematech.
