Circle International Names Three New Global Sales Executives.

) announced today the appointments of Randy N. Wheeler, Cary R. Dittmann and John Mugnaini as vice presidents-global sales for North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

Wheeler, based in Charlotte, N.C., will be responsible for global sales activity in the eastern U.S. and Canada, and Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla. , while Dittmann, based in Chicago, will have similar responsibilities for the Midwest U.S. and eastern Mexico. Mugnaini will manage global sales for the Western U.S. including portions of Canada and Mexico. He will be based in California. The three executives will lead Circle's business development efforts with corporate-level sales and marketing initiatives targeted to Fortune 500 companies in North America that have multi-continent logistics and transportation needs.

Randy Wheeler is a 16-year veteran of the transportation and logistics industry. He comes to Circle from Emery Worldwide Emery Worldwide was a cargo airline, once was one of the leading carriers in the cargo airline world.

Emery started in 1946 and was the first freight forwarder to receive a carrier certificate from the United States Government.

Following the merger of CF AirFreight and Emery in 1989, he held increasingly responsible sales, operations and management positions, including general manager, global accounts executive and senior global accounts executive. He started with CF AirFreight in 1982 as a sales representative and earned promotion in 1985 to national account executive. Wheeler holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Hope College, Holland, Michigan.

Cary Dittmann is an 18-year industry veteran who most recently was director of global accounts for Emery Worldwide in Chicago. In this capacity, he directed the development and implementation of industry-focused global sales and service teams, creating the marketing and sales strategies for targeting business in specific industries, such as construction, energy & mining, heavy equipment and machinery, publishing and printed matter. He joined Emery in 1991 as manager of global accounts.

Dittmann also worked for five years with American Airlines as a regional sales manager and manager of national accounts, and for Flying Tiger Lines, where he held a variety of positions in customer service, sales, and national account management.

John Mugnaini brings more than a decade of industry experience to Circle. For the past 11 years he was with BAX Global where he advanced through increasingly responsible positions involving sales, marketing and operations. Most recently, he was director of North American North American

Prior to BAX, Mugnaini worked for three years for the Stewart Warner Corporation as a national account executive in its automotive division. Following his graduation from Elmhurst (IL) College with a bachelor's degree in business administration, John began his sales career as a business development manager in the technical recruiting industry.
