Circle International Expands to New Logistics Center in Houston.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 1999

Circle International has opened a new logistics center in Houston providing increased capacity and enhanced capabilities for international freight transportation, project logistics and supply chain management services.

The 114,000 square foot center serves as the hub for Circle's operations in the greater Houston Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown is a 10-county metropolitan area defined by the Office of Management and Budget. Chris Cahill, Circle's Houston general manager, noted that the facility provides extensive project logistics support for large energy, offshore oil production and exploration, and construction project clients based throughout the east Texas and Gulf Coast areas.

"Our Houston facility was purpose designed to address the unique needs of construction project and energy industry clients, who have operations around the world," noted Cahill. Circle was previously located in a smaller facility in an adjacent business park, said Cahill. The new facility represents a long-term investment of $3.2 million and is expected to provide the company with sufficient capacity and operational flexibility well into the next decade. As business volumes increase, the company expects to hire additional staff to support business growth and service needs.
