The Ciprico DiMeda 2400, the first of the new line of Digital Media Appliances, is a revolutionary solution that addresses the growing need for shared storage in broadcast and post-production, non-linear editing environments. Ciprico's DiMeda 2400, the world's first Digital Media Appliance, offers high performance media file sharing over Gigabit Ethernet. Traditionally, editors in the broadcast and post-production industry have installed a Storage Area Network (SAN) for online real-time editing applications and a NAS (Network Attached Storage) for offline and non-real-time file sharing applications. The DiMeda 2400 bridges the gap and provides a single solution for both online and offline applications in DV25 video format. It also offers significant cost savings due to the low total cost of ownership and is the first solution to deliver bandwidth performance previously only available from SAN, making it the perfect solution for mid-sized network environments.

The Incite product family offers production houses a total solution for end-to-end production. New products like Incite Remote Producer and Incite Newsmaker are entirely software-based editing applications designed for laptops and PCs, perfect for taking advantage of full motion DV editing on a Gigabit network.
