(Nasdaq:CPCI) announced today the introduction and demonstration of their new family of SS2000 video streaming solutions at the Government Video Technology Expo, Nov. 28-29, in Washington, D.C. The Expo is a forum offering hands-on demonstrations of the newest professional video and multimedia products, focused on the needs of the government professional.

The SS2000 streaming solutions are designed to stream MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 content from 300 kbps to High Definition (HDTV) 19.3 Mbps, all at full screen resolution. These high performance solutions enable visually oriented information to be streamed, at broadcast quality, for communication applications such as executive announcements and briefings as well as corporate and military force training.

The SS2000 solution delivers industry leading performance and quality of content consistent with Ciprico's extensive experience of accelerating digital media workflows in the broadcast and military imaging applications. Integrating Ciprico's own high performance NETarray storage, video servers and software, the SS2000, with an aggregate bandwidth capability of 750 Mbps, delivers thousands of simultaneous streams over IP networks. With up to 730 Gb of storage, the SS2000 can store 605 RAID-protected hours of 1.5 Mbps video streams. An optional VSE solution is easily added to any of the SS2000 products, offering the capability of ingesting and encoding video streams for near-live IP broadcasting.
