Ciprico Inc. (Nasdaq:CPCI See CompactPCI. ) today announced the availability of Seagate 180 GB drives as an integral part of Ciprico's commercial 7000 series of disk arrays. The new drives will increase the total storage capacity to an unprecedented 1.4 TB per unit. With the availability of 180 GB drives for the 7000 solution, customers will be offered the highest disk drive capacity available in a disk array while reducing the cost per megabyte One million bytes, or more precisely 1,048,576 bytes.
