CipherTrust IronMail Named Best Messaging Product by Network World; Messaging Security Leader Joins Google, Cisco, HP, and Juniper as One of Only 10 Winning Entries among more than 200 Products Tested by Network World.


ATLANTA -- CipherTrust, Inc., the global market leader in messaging security, today announced that Network World magazine recognized its IronMail(R) appliance with the Best of the Tests award in the Messaging category in the its seventh annual Best Products issue, which was published on February 27, 2006. The judges for Network World's Best of the Tests selected the CipherTrust IronMail appliance within a category that included anti-spam software, e-mail encryption E-mail encryption refers to encryption, and often authentication, of e-mail messages. Network World selected 48 finalists for the Best of the Tests awards from the more than 200 products tested by the publication's labs in 2005. The list was narrowed to 10 winners among nine categories of products based on the most critical network function they address. Awards were selected in the following areas: convergence, information management, messaging, network infrastructure, network management, security infrastructure, security management, client security and wireless.

In the issue, Network World notes that the CipherTrust IronMail appliance "provided strong encryption An encryption method that uses a very large number as its cryptographic key. The larger the key, the longer it takes to unlawfully break the code. Today, 256 bits is considered strong encryption.
