Cintech announces 3rd quarter results.

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 1997--(TSE:CTM.) Cintech Tele-Management Systems today reported revenues for the third quarter ended March 31 of US$1.9 million compared to US$2.3 million the previous third quarter.

Due primarily to a previously announced, one-time inventory adjustment of US$.8 million, Cintech reported a Net Loss for the quarter of US$.9 million or US$(0.07) per share. Excluding the impact of the inventory adjustment, the Net Loss for the quarter was US$33,000 or US$0.0 per share as compared to a US$43,000 Net Loss or US$0.0 per share in the comparable quarter.

Cintech Reports Record ACD Shipments

Unit shipments for the Company's core Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) software hit a record high for the period, increasing 48 percent over the comparable period and 38 percent over the previous quarter.

"Cintech's joint marketing model with Nortel is taking hold as evidenced in the growing sales volume. Plus, our December release of JAZZ2000 ACD for NEC's NEAX 2000 IVS is beginning to contribute to revenues and will be even stronger in upcoming months." Cintech's shipping volumes have made the Company a leader in the smaller call center market. According to Dataquest's U.S. Inbound Call Center Market Share and Forecast report published in March 1997, "In terms of systems shipped, Cintech could rightfully be called the No. 1 shipping vendor; however, Dataquest is not able to report Cintech's numbers separately because a Nortel or NEC switch is always required with the Cintech product. Therefore, Cintech shipments are rolled into Nortel and NEC shipment data." (Dataquest is a leading research firm that provides in-depth coverage of the call center market.)

Cintech Announces Major Account Program

Cintech also announced a Major Accounts Program that targets larger organizations who have multiple-site call center opportunities. "As organizations strive to implement enterprise-wide solutions, our Major Account strategy allows us to introduce Cintech's call center applications and services as departmental, workgroup and branch office solutions," continued Kamionka. "Cintech's sales organization is working with our Distributors to identify qualified accounts and to package the services and solutions that best meet the customers needs. This approach complements our sales strategy of supporting our Distributors with smaller call center expertise."
