), announced today the promotion of J. Phillip Holloman to President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Holloman joined Cintas in 1996 and has served in various positions including Vice President - Engineering/Construction from 1996 to 2000, Vice President - Distribution/Production Planning from 2000 to 2003, Executive Champion of Six Sigma Not to be confused with Sigma 6.
Six Sigma is a set of practices originally developed by Motorola to systematically improve processes by eliminating defects.[1] A defect is defined as nonconformity of a product or service to its specifications.
 Initiatives from 2003 to 2005 and most recently, Sr. Vice President - Global Supply Chain Management from 2005 until his recent promotion to President and COO.

As Vice President of Engineering/Construction, Holloman and his team built 37 new Cintas rental processing facilities and standardized standardized

As Vice President - Distribution/Production Planning, Holloman and his team, using Six Sigma methodologies, improved profit, service levels and internal customer satisfaction while reducing inventory levels.

In August 2007 Holloman received the Cintas Excalibur Award, the highest award reserved for business executives who demonstrate excellence during their tenure with the company. He also helped to establish the diversity initiative at Cintas and sits on the company's Diversity Committee.

Holloman, 52, holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati The University of Cincinnati is a coeducational public research university in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ranked as one of America’s top 25 public research universities and in the top 50 of all American research universities,[2] . He serves on the Florida A&M School of Business and Industry Advisory Council and is a Board Member-Elect of the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife of 28 years, Gail, and their two children.
