Cinergy Board Elects Rogers Chairman; Sets Annual Meeting Date.

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2000

The board of directors of Cinergy Corp. (NYSE:CIN) today elected James E. Rogers chairman of the board.

He will retain his current positions of president and chief executive officer.

The board also elected Jackson H. Randolph, who has served as chairman of the board since 1994, chairman emeritus. He will continue to serve as a director.

In another action, the board set the date for the annual meeting of shareholders for Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Omni Netherland Hotel, Cincinnati, and the record date for shareholders to receive notice and vote as Friday, March 2, 2001.

The PSI Energy, Inc. annual meeting of shareholders was set for Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. EDT at the Omni Netherland Hotel, Cincinnati, and the record date for shareholders to receive notice and vote as Friday, March 2, 2001.
