Cinergy Among Best Companies for Working Mothers.

CINCINNATI -- Cinergy Corp. (NYSE:CIN) has been named by Working Mother magazine to its annual list of America's 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers. This is the eighth consecutive year Cinergy has appeared on the list.

Working Mother magazine, which has compiled the list for 19 years, bases its company selections on a number of criteria, including the number of work/life programs they offer, the employee usage of such programs and the representation of women throughout the company. This year, Working Mother gave particular weight to three issues: flexible scheduling, time off for new parents, and child-care options.

"It's an enormous responsibility to care for a family and succeed at a job, and we're thrilled to see the serious commitment of smart companies to help their employees," said Carol Evans, chief executive officer of Working Mother Media, which publishes Working Mother. This year the magazine cited Cinergy's programs supporting flexible work arrangements, child care resources, time-off for new mothers and fathers, and diversity initiatives.
