SAVVIS Communications (NASDAQ:SVVS), a leading global managed IP services provider, today announced it has been selected to provide managed hosting services to CinemaNow, Inc., the world leader in IP-based video-on-demand distribution, with core operations in content, technology and distribution.

The contract marks another step in SAVVIS' expansion into the media and entertainment sector, from its traditional base of providing managed global networking services to the financial services industry, including banks, brokerage firms and electronic trading networks, as well as a diverse range of professional services firms, retail establishments, healthcare and manufacturing companies.

CinemaNow holds the exclusive Internet distribution rights to the most extensive and comprehensive library of feature films available on-demand via the public Internet and private broadband networks. Its film library contains over 3,000 feature-length films from more than 125 licensors, including 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., MGM, Lions Gate Entertainment, Lot 47 Films, Vanguard Cinema and Visionbox Media.

CinemaNow distributes films via its Web site, www.cinemanow.com, which is accessed by more than one million unique users per month, on both a pay-per-view and subscription basis. CinemaNow is the only major IP-based distributor offering films in both streaming and download formats.
