CinemaNow Expands On-Demand Film Selections With York Entertainment Agreement; Collection of Urban Films Brings CinemaNow's Library To More Than 5,000 Titles.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- CinemaNow Inc., the leader in broadband video-on-demand distribution and technology, today announced it has entered into an agreement with York Entertainment to make more than 65 feature films from the York Entertainment library available on-demand via the CinemaNow service.

The addition of the York Entertainment titles, which includes a variety of urban and Latino films, expands the CinemaNow library to more than 5,000 feature films, shorts, music concerts and television programs, of which more than 1,700 titles are currently available on CinemaNow.com. With more than 150 licensors, CinemaNow has compiled one of the most extensive and comprehensive libraries of video content available for broadband distribution.

"As the video-on-demand market continues to grow, one of the many differentiators for IP delivery is its ability to offer a virtually endless amount of content in an easily accessible and manageable format," said Bruce Eisen, executive vice president of CinemaNow. As part of the agreement, CinemaNow will distribute a variety of titles from York Entertainment's extensive library. Users can access the motion pictures on a pay-per-view basis, by subscribing to the CinemaNow subscription service or via CinemaNow's new Download-To-Own option, which lets users keep a permanent digital copy of the film.
