He is known for his roles as the neurotic Dwight Schrute on the American television comedy The Office, (pictured) has cornered the market in geeks. He was an odd undertaker in Six Feet Under and Dwight, the American equivalent of Gareth, in the US version of The Office. Now he plays Robert 'Fish' Fishman, the drummer in 1980s rock band Vesuvius. But his supposed mates dump him to get a record contract, and while they go on to global fame and fortune, he works in a call centre. Twenty years TWENTY YEARS. The lapse of twenty years raises a presumption of certain facts, and after such a time, the party against whom the presumption has been raised, will be required to prove a negative to establish his rights. 2. on, Fish gets the sack and is thrown out by his girlfriend, so he moves in with his sister. His nephew is in a band which needs a drummer at short notice to play the school prom, so Fish is persuaded to take up his drumsticks for the first time in two decades. The result is a disaster, but the band stay together and become cult stars of YouTube thanks to nude band practice. They're helped by charismatic lead singer Curtis (Teddy Geiger) and some good songs, while Fish's love interest comes in the form of Christina Applegate Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971) is an American Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated actress, particularly well-known for playing the very attractive, promiscuous, dim-witted Kelly Bundy on the Fox television network sitcom Married… with Children. , Curtis's cool young mum. Directed by Peter "Full Monty" Cattaneo, The Rocker starts very well but loses its way somewhat in the predictable plot. Still, there are plenty of great lines - even the gross bits are funny - and it proves itself a match for School Of Rock in the entertainment charts. |
