Adoption of S-View Platform Grows as Nine Studios and Distributors Use Cinea Technology to Send Approximately 100,000 Award Consideration Copies to BAFTA Members around the Globe

RESTON, Va. -- Marking its most successful award screener season yet, Cinea, Inc., a subsidiary of Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB), announced today that 23 films were encrypted using its S-View[TM] anti-piracy protection for award consideration by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in the 2006-2007 season. After making available the S-View service to all of the major film studios as well as various independent film companies and UK distributors, Cinea aided in the award consideration efforts for nearly two dozen films, distributing approximately 100,000 copies to BAFTA academy members around the globe.

Following the announcement of the 2006-2007 BAFTA nominations this month, films using the S-View service received 37 award nominations. The industry recognition is a clear indication that Cinea's anti-piracy technology provides film studios with a secure method to distribute copies of their films for award consideration.
