Dennis Hopper Accepts Prestigious Marquee Award

VEGAS.com's CineVegas International Film Festival announces two spectacular events for the festival's closing weekend June 20 and 21 at the Brenden Theaters at the Palms Casino Resort.

"Breakfast With Hunter," a feature length documentary starring the infamous outlaw journalist Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, will have its world premiere on Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. Earlier that afternoon, Dennis Hopper will accept the prestigious Marquee Award for his lifetime achievements in the film industry at a luncheon event at Postrio inside The Grand Canal Shoppes The Grand Canal Shoppes is a 500,000 sq ft shopping mall adjacent to The Venetian Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.

The mall was opened along with the Venetian in 1999.
 at The Venetian Resort and Hotel. Tickets can be purchased at www.Cinevegas.com. The award recognizes the artistic excellence, professional accomplishment and dedication to cinema by an actor or director whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the film art. Hopper's 1971 movie, "The Last Movie," will be screened during the festival on Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m. The inaugural Marquee Award went to Dustin Hoffman Noun 1.
