On August 17, peace activists around the country took to the
streets to show their support for Cindy Sheehan Cindy Lee Miller Sheehan (born July 10, 1957) is an American anti-war activist, whose son, Casey Sheehan, was killed during his service in the Iraq War on April 4, 2004, aged 24. and the other members of
Gold Star Families for Peace Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFP) is a United States based organization founded in January 2005 by individuals who lost family members in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and are thus entitled to display a Gold Star. It is considered an offshoot of Military Families Speak Out. who gathered in Crawford, Texas Crawford is a Waco suburb located in western McLennan County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 705. The 2005 census estimates Crawford's population at 789.[1]
The town was incorporated on August 12, 1897. , to demand
