Cincom acquires ObjectStudio's Germany operations from VMARK.

Cincom Increases Global Sales, Marketing and Product Support

for Object-Oriented Application Development Environment

Cincom Systems (Cincom Systems, Inc., Cincinnati, OH, www.cincom.com) One of the largest and most experienced software companies in the world. This includes support for the German, Austrian and Swiss ObjectStudio(TM) user community, and responsibility for operations and staffing for ObjectStudio throughout Germany. This agreement is effective immediately.

Under terms of this agreement, Cincom Systems also has full worldwide rights and responsibilities for ObjectStudio, the object-oriented, Smalltalk product suite for enterprise application development.

Cincom Systems will assume all customer responsibility, including ongoing technical product support, sales and consulting, and other activities for all German-speaking countries in Europe which have the largest ObjectStudio user base worldwide. To more effectively meet the needs of these users, Cincom Systems is adding approximately 25 people, highly skilled in object-oriented technology See object technology. , into its German operations.
