Approximately 200 volunteers from business, industry, government, academia, research organizations and think tanks developed plans for the Technology Growth Accelerator during an intense, 100-day analysis of the region's strengths and needs. In addition to creating the catalyst to drive tech growth, the volunteer teams also have implemented several "jump-start" initiatives, including: -- Jack Cassidy will establish and chair a 15-member Leadership Council to spearhead the Cincinnati Technology Growth Accelerator. -- Establishing an CTGA staff with an initial core of five team members, headed up by Executive Director Johnathan Holifield, who also serves as vice president of New Economy Enterprise at the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. -- Establishing the Cincinnati USA Capital Growth Fund to provide seed and early-stage equity funds. -- Establishing the Cincinnati USA Entrepreneur Resource Network, an open-sourced Web-based network. -- Establishing the Cincinnati USA K-12 Education Assistance Collaborative to ensure quality, market-driven technology instruction in schools. The Cincinnati USA Technology Growth Accelerator will hold a public forum Tuesday, Sept. 4, to receive additional feedback to the vision crafted by the volunteer teams and embraced by the new Leadership Council. Once the wider public feedback is incorporated, the CGTA CGTA Canadian Gift and Tableware Association CGTA Central Georgia Technology Alliance CGTA Citrix Go to Assist will prioritize actions and form volunteer teams that will work toward the initiative's ongoing mission as shaped by the Leadership Council.
