The parent company is named Cincinnati Bell Inc.  Inc., today announced the first strategic partnership of its new ZoomTown Purchasing Network, with the Cincinnati Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC CMSDC Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. ), and demonstrated the network for the first time at the CMSDC's 1999 Business Exchange.

As the first local organization to partner with the ZoomTown Purchasing Network, the CMSDC anticipates new and better access to business opportunities for minority companies throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Officially launched on June 21, the ZoomTown Purchasing Network allows online buying and selling of products nationwide. It simplifies business-to-business eCommerce by directly linking buyers with suppliers, reducing paperwork and labor costs, while saving time for all involved.

This solution allows companies -- large and small -- to buy and sell products electronically, including the capability to issue electronic purchase orders and invoices and manage shipping information. Companies can quickly put specs out to bid on everything from light bulbs to bulldozers and then entertain a host of competitive proposals from various suppliers.

As part of the partnership, CMSDC Minority Business Enterprises will be able to utilize the service at special rates.
