Complete Protection(sm) Provides Faster Response Time than National Security Companies

CINCINNATI -- Demonstrating its commitment to delivering superior service, quality and value, Complete Protection(sm) by Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE: CBB) recently became the only home security monitoring service in Greater Cincinnati and Dayton to earn the Five Diamond Central Station certification from the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA).

In order to meet the CSAA Five Diamond requirements, 100 percent of Complete Protection's home security monitoring employees needed to pass the organization's Central Station Operator Training Course and demonstrate high levels of:

* Proficiency in alarm verification, which helps reduce false alarms;

* Proficiency in communications with the Public Service Answering Points, such as the Emergency 911 centers;

* Knowledge of electronic communications equipment;

* An understanding of the codes and standards of such organizations as Underwriters Laboratories, Factory Mutual, the National Fire Protection Association and others; and

* Proficiency in the area of emergency preparedness under a wide scenario of possibilities.

Faster Response Time

In addition to having the only local monitoring station with Five Diamond and Underwriters Laboratories certification, Complete Protection has an average response time of just 17 seconds. Some national security companies use a process known as "dialer delay," which can result in as much as a 90 second delay between the time an alarm is received and a monitoring agent places a call to the customer's premise. To better ensure the safety of its customers, Cincinnati Bell does not to use dialer delay.
