"Cimetric Commerce's experience and expertise provides us with a full-service business solution. From design, development, management and marketing, they understand all facets of managing manufacturer brands," said Mark Portera, E-Commerce Manager, Hershey Foods Corporation. "Cimetric Commerce's business approach enables us to address an emerging market opportunity in a cost effective manner, thereby allowing us to remain focused on managing our corporate site."

Hershey Foods Corporation currently hosts a successful corporate Web site that markets and sells its chocolate gifts. The emerging interest in non-foods branded merchandise and the need to find a viable way to sell it online led Hershey to Cimetric Commerce.

Hershey expects to receive an immediate return on investment, as they have not incurred any up-front cost for the development or management of the site.

An exact go-live date is still to be determined, however the site is expected to be up and running by the end of September 2001.

Cimetric Commerce's online solution will include webstore design and marketing, online reports that provide extensive sales analysis, 24x7 branded customer service, infrastructure support and a complete logistics package. The Hershey webstore will feature over 100 items with more items added on a continual basis.
