Cima De Triomphe could head for Arlington instead of Ascot.

Byline: Paul Eacott

CIMA DE TRIOMPHE, fourth in the Coral-Eclipse, could bypass the King George King George has referred to many kings throughout history. When used, by Americans, without further reference it most often means George III of the United Kingdom, against whom the Whigs of the American Revolution rebelled.  VI and Queen Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth, or Elizabeth, may refer to: Living people
  • Elizabeth II, Queen regnant of the Commonwealth Realms
Deceased people
Bohemia
Stakes in favour of a trip to the States for the Arlington Million on August 8. The Luca Cumani-trained four-yearold is as short as 12-1 with Bet365 and William Hill for the Betfair-backed Group 1 at Ascot on July 25, but the prospect of taking on Sea The Stars and Conduit again has got Cumani looking further afield.

Although the ante-post picture for the King George is far from clear, Sea The Stars and Conduit - who were split by Rip Van Winkle at Sandown - occupy the front two places in the market, prompting Cumani to consider Chicago for the Teruya Yoshida-owned colt.

"At the moment we are looking at either the King George or the Arlington Million next," said Cumani about last year's Derby Italiano winner, who also has entries in the Juddmonte International Stakes on August 18 and the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes The Irish Champion Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs (2,012 metres) at Leopardstown Racecourse in September.  on September 5. "The decision is with the owner, and I believe he is thinking about it at the moment," added Cumani, who won the Arlington Million with Tolomeo in 1983.

The trainer also has another in a long line of Italian imports to go in to battle with in the shape of Basaltico, a multiple winner in Italy for Alduino and Giuseppe Botti Raphael Jose Botti (born February 23, 1981) simply known as Botti, is a Brazilian professional footballer. He plays as a midfilder for Vissel Kobe.

Botti is a hard-working and talented player who may not get on the scoresheet too often – just 14 times in his five years
. The five-year-old was last seen finishing third behind Veracity at Nad Al Sheba in February when with Herman Brown.
