Cilic struggling for best form; TENNIS.

Byline: Dylan Hill

IN his current modest form Marin Cilic would normally be readily opposable at this stage of the US Open, writes Dylan Hill.

The major negative to getting against the Croatian is that he could hardly have asked for a more straightforward third-round draw than Denis Istomin (born September 7, 1986 in Tashkent) is a professional tennis player from Uzbekistan. Istomin received the Asian Wildcard into the 2006 Australian Open where he played world number one Roger Federer. Federer won in three straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 . , but even so it may be worth chancing the Usbekistan player to stick closer to Cilic than Sporting Index believe.

 or Masters level.

Essentially he looks a flat-track bully, and while he would be able to boss Istomin at his best he has been below-par recently and fell two sets down to Jesse Levine Jesse Levine (b. Levine moved to the USA from Canada at age 13, and currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida.  on Friday before the American wilted. Istomin can stay within 5.5 games of him.
