This exhibit demonstrates that 1310 nm VCSEL array technology can be effectively packaged into an optical subsystem.

Utilizing a monolithic array of 1310 nm directly-modulated VCSELs, the technology demonstration features high data rate transmission over standard single-mode fiber See singlemode fiber.  in ultra-dense transmit and receive modules. For added flexibility, each channel can support speeds from 155 Mbps to 2.5 Gbps. This demonstrates the feasibility of using this technology for ultra-dense SONET-based optical interconnect and intra-system solutions for telecommunications.
