Strong R & D operations push innovation

Ciba Specialty Chemicals is further building on its strategic positioning in the Nordic countries by combining its product development, application technology and technical customer service operations in Finland and fully utilizing the former Raisio Chemicals' Technology Campus in Turku. This campus is a strong contributing factor in preserving the customer service element, particularly among the major Scandinavian paper customers.

In light of the substantially increased activities in the Nordic region, and the future opportunities available in Russia, Ciba Specialty Chemicals is building a regional support structure, based in Finland, for the development of all its segments in the Nordic countries and Russia.
