Chyron Appoints Two New Vice Presidents; Company puts emphasis on customer service and new Pro-Bel America unit.

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 14, 1997--Chyron Corporation (NYSE: CHY), a pre-eminent worldwide developer and manufacturer of television production equipment, has named two new vice presidents as part of its program to position the company to meet the developing needs of the broadcast industry.

Richard Hajdu, 50, has joined Chyron as General Manager of the Company's new Pro-Bel America unit. Pro-Bel is Chyron's U.K.-based subsidiary purchased in 1996 to add a complete line of routing and automation equipment to the company's product line. A dominant player in Europe, Pro-Bel America is poised to expand market share for this subsidiary in the United States.

Mr. Hajdu comes to Chyron from Tektronix, Inc., where he was responsible for business relationships with all U.S. and Canadian systems integrators. Prior to that, he was System Sales Manager for the Central Region for Tektronix. His over 20 years of industry experience also includes management positions with Dynatech Video Group, Neve/AMS, and ADM Technology, Inc.

Jay Buchberg, 35, joined as Vice President of Customer Service for Chyron Graphics from Olympus America Inc., where he was National Manager of Customer Service. At Olympus he was responsible for re- engineering the Company's customer service and repair delivery systems. He holds an MBA in Quantitative Analysis and Information Systems from St. John's University, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a licensed professional engineer and a Novell Certified Engineer.
