Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) announced that Chyron's media file format is now supported by the Avid Unity(TM) MediaManager system.

This integration allows users of Chyron's popular Duet family of systems to save and share files from within MediaManager. All Chyron media files can now be easily located, selected, and exported to any other Chyron system as well as virtually any Avid(R) editing application, using Chyron's new Lyric plug in for the Avid AVX(TM) environment. The Lyric Plug In for AVX-compatible Avid systems gives full access of Lyric, Chyron's award-winning, 2D/3D graphics and animation software, to users of Avid Symphony(TM), Media Composer(R), Avid|DS, Avid Xpress(R) and Avid Xpress(R) DV systems.

Avid Unity Media Services are digital workflow tools that manage, move, or transform media, and allows many tasks currently performed serially to be done in parallel manner, providing a smoother, faster, and more cost-effective workflow. The full suite of Avid Unity Media Services now includes Avid Unity MediaManager v2.5, which is a powerful, browser-based, media asset management application that allows easy facility-wide and remote searching, sorting, management, and retrieval of media.
