Chyron Announces Changes in Sales Organization for Americas.

), manufacturer of high-end, broadcast-quality graphics systems, character generators, and routing and automation equipment, has announced a restructuring of its sales organization supporting North and South America South America, fourth largest continent (1991 est. pop. 299,150,000), c.6,880,000 sq mi (17,819,000 sq km), the southern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. . Effective immediately, these changes are designed to enable growth and expansion of Chyron's sales and marketing activities throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America, and to improve responsiveness to customer needs for digital systems solutions.

The changes include new leadership for the sales force, a new business development function to support the sales of DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. The major DTV standards are ATSC (North America), DVB (Europe) and ISDB (Japan). All three use MPEG-2 video compression and Dolby Digital audio compression. DVB and ISDB also include MPEG audio compression.  systems, station automation and distribution applications, and a new Channel Partner program to expand product distribution and customer support.

Reporting to Hajdu are two Area Sales Directors: Bruce Levine Bruce E. Levine, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been in practise for nearly two decades.

 (East) and Ryad Kahale (West). Both longtime Chyron veterans, Levine joined Chyron in 1986 while Kahale has been with the company for 14 years.

Terry Barnum has been appointed to the position of Director of Business Development, Distribution Systems and Bill Hendler has been named Director of Business Development, DTV Systems. "Both Terry and Bill bring a wealth of industry experience to the table. We expect they will become strong assets to our customers who are evaluating technology and strategic direction for their digital operations," said Shapiro.

Chyron is also strengthening the relationship with its dealers and systems integrators. Dealer agreements are being recast into a new Channel Partner Program, which provides incentives, ear.
