Chyron's Pro-Bel Division Introduces New Products At Nab2000.

Chyron Corporation (NYSE: CHY), the world leader in broadcast video graphic systems, and manufacturer of internationally acclaimed Pro-Bel products and systems for broadcast routing, distribution and transmission automation, has announced that both Chyron and Pro-Bel branded products and systems will be presented April 10-13, 2000, at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show (NAB2000) in booth L12908.

At NAB2000, Pro-Bel will show many new and enhanced products that demonstrate its overall leadership in broadcasting, and will also introduce its first major Internet product, Clarinet -- a revolutionary streaming media coder. In addition, the Pro-Bel Eclipse large-scale routing system, first introduced in Europe at IBC, will be shown. Now available in both SDTV and mixed SDTV/HDTV versions, Eclipse offers high density and true field expansion in a compact and cost-effective package.

Other Pro-Bel products to be introduced at NAB2000 include a Pro-Bel control system that incorporates scalable, expandable hardware together with a range of Java-based software control panels. This control system provides unmatched flexibility and extensive control for today's routing, transmission and editing applications.

Pro-Bel will also preview a range of Internet-ready asset management tools and demonstrate the power of bringing metadata to the back office desktop with an Intranet media browse product.

For transmission automation, Pro-Bel will show the latest enhancements to MAPP Media Management with a new and highly flexible satellite recording package with which multiple feeds can be automatically acquired from both satellite down-links and telecommunications networks, using record lists from traffic. Also shown will be new enhancements to MAPP Media Browse that provide EDL list production for simple editing of material at the desktop to complement the other browsing applications for transmission material preview and editorial conformance checks.

At NAB2000, Pro-Bel will also demonstrate multi-channel automation control terminal software that allows a single operator to simultaneously control eight TV channels, as well as a new Digital Content Controller used to manage and synchronize enhanced and interactive program content with the primary audio and video playout. In addition, new modules are being added to the advanced ICON signal processing and conversion range that is widely integrated with the COSMOS status monitoring and control system.
