Bettarini & Serafini/Bematic has developed the Bemafeed chute machine to form a fiber batt with a selected density. The chute is comprised of an upper reserve section, a middle opening section and a lower batt forming section. The infeed friction is reduced by low friction chute surfaces to allow even fiber flow throughout the chute length. In the feeding section, fibers pass through a beater roller with special needle bars for a gentle fiber opening. The beater roll can rotate in two directions, depending on the fiber's specifications. The beater delivers the opened fibers into a fiber butt forming chute, where fibers are formed into an even fiber batt, due to low air pressure and the vibrating wall designed to release air flow.
