Churchyards' hidden treasures.

THE search is on for budding photographers to explore the hidden treasures in Wrexham's rural churchyards.

A 2010 calendar is being produced to highlight the beauty and interest of wildlife and history to be found in 13 local churchyards as part of the Sacred Space sacred space,
n space—tangible or otherwise—that enables those who acknowledge and accept it to feel reverence and connection with the spiritual.
 project.

The project is being overseen by the Northern Marches Cymru partnership.

Sue Kelly, a volunteer inspired to organise the calendar and photography competition, said: "We'd like people to take pictures that capture interesting historic or wildlife features in the 13 churchyards involved in the project."

The winning photograph will appear in the 2010 Sacred Space Calendar and an exhibition of selected photographs will be displayed at Wrexham Arts Festival An arts festival or art fair is a festival that focuses on the visual arts, but which may also focus on other arts.

Arts festivals in the visual arts are exhibitions.
 in May next year.

The competition is open to all ages.

The deadline is 1pm on October 2. Up to three photograph prints can be entered including names and address.
