Bethesda Lutheran Church, 4445 Royal Ave., will hold festival worship services at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Easter Sunday. An Easter breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. 688-9085.

Grace Lutheran Church, 710 E. 17th Ave., will hold a sunrise service with Holy Communion at 6:30 a.m. Easter Sunday. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., followed by services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Music for these two services will be provided by a harpist, a trumpeter, the Grace Handbell Choir and a vocal choir. Emmaus Lutheran Church, 1250 W. 18th Ave., will host a 6:30 a.m. sunrise worship at Rest Haven Cemetery, 39th Avenue and Willamette Street. Festival worship and Holy Communion services will be held at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. 344-1150.

Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 3925 Hilyard St., will hold Easter Sunday services at 8 a.m. (Holy Eucharist, Rite I) and 10:30 a.m. (Festive Eucharist of Easter Day). 686-8462.

Eugene First Evangelical Church, 834 Monroe Street, will hold a 9:30 a.m. Easter service; the Easter cantata "Redeemer" will be presented at 10:45 a.m. 345-2327.

First Baptist Church in Junction City will offer two Resurrection worship services on Easter Sunday. The 9 a.m. service will be a time of extended praise singing with communion and a brief message. The 10:45 a.m. service will offer a time of exploring and proclaiming the impact of Jesus' resurrection. Both services will be held in the Junction City High School cafeteria, 1135 W. The Spiritual Growth Center, 390 Vernal St., will offer a series of accredited classes beginning this week. The Science of Mind 200 classes will begin at 7 p.m. Monday with "Seven Paths to God - The Ways of the Mystic" by Joan Borysenko. Science of Mind 100 classes will begin with "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Each class is eight weeks long. The cost is $10 per class, and registration is required.

Lane Institute of Faith and Education, or LIFE, will present "The Bible as Literature: The Hero's Journey," a five-part class using Joseph Campbell's pattern of the hero's journey to examine how the Bible's authors used drama to capture the audience's attention.
