Church On the Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Installs SLS International's RLA/1 System.

Business Editors

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 2003

SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) See laser sintering and 3D printing.  International today announced that the new Oneighty(R) (spoken "180") Facility at The Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has just purchased and installed an SLS, RLA/1 (ribbon line array) system.

The RLA/1 system is the flagship of the SLS Professional Products line and can produce extreme high output sound while at the same time have the fidelity of the SLS award-winning studio monitors. The RLA/1 utilizes two SLS, PRD PRD

progressive retinal degeneration.
1000 Ribbon Drivers for high frequency, four 250-watt high-output 6.5-inch midrange transducers and two 800-watt 15-inch bass drivers. Each module of the RLA/1 system can attain peak output in excess of 130db and when multiple cabinets are vertically coupled together the system has very long throw capabilities. The RLA/1 is the only line array system available to date utilizing a true line source device, (the PRD ribbon drivers) as other manufacturers are trying to simulate a ribbon waveform using conventional compression drivers. The full RLA/1 specification and White Paper can be accessed at www.slsloudspeakers.com.

Jeff Cremeen, director of audio for Church On The Move commented: "The RLA/1 system works great in our new facility. We have the SLS T3Rs in our main church auditorium and have come to expect the smoother and more musical sound of ribbons over conventional compression drivers. In the Oneighty(R) Facility we needed to have the output of a full-on Rock-and-Roll system but at the same time needed a system that would reproduce soft speech and the music cleanly. We will also have drama and school choir events and it's always hard to get adequate volume to the back of the room using area mics, with the SLS line arrays we achieve that."

John Gott, President of SLS International stated: "When The Church On The Move selected our system over the other major manufacturers, it was another vote of confidence for our technology. Jeff is a very educated and highly technical audio professional and he and his staff provide great audio support for the Ministries multiple venues. We are confident that our system will be used to it's potential and deliver audio quality that other churches will want for their congregations."
