And in the wake of this announcement three new Church's franchisees sign on to open a total of nine restaurants in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market.

On May 9, 2006, Church's Chicken will officially welcome these along with several other new franchisees to the Church's Family. Jafeer Rajani and Faisal Zakaria are scheduled to open the new units within the next several years.

"Our restaurant development growth strategy is simple; more Church's, better Church's," says Doug Pendergast, Executive Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer. "We accomplish this goal by expanding our franchise system with the addition of passionate, experienced franchisees who are committed to growth, and we're pleased to welcome this latest group of candidates."

In addition, the Franchise Development team has been actively "recruiting" among its current franchisees to sign new agreements to open more restaurants as well as to refresh their existing restaurants. Their efforts at this year's convention helped them secure 12 new restaurant commitments in Houston and 10 others in various parts of the country.

"Now more than ever, developing a Church's is a compelling prospect," added Mr. Pendgergast. His team educates all new and existing franchisees about pioneering technologies and consistent development innovations that offer simple, efficient and profitable expansion options.

Church's franchisees have several development opportunities at their disposal to increase profitability and maximize return on investment (ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot). ):

--Re-imaging - process by which older-model Church's restaurants are updated, both inside and out in three easy steps, significantly impacting sales.

--Conversion - process by which alternate concepts are cost effectively 'transformed' into a new Church's Chicken restaurant, increasing ROI.

--Pre-Fab Build - a strategic partnership with Fullerton Building Systems that shaves up to 45 days off of the development/opening process, accelerating openings.
