Church's Chicken Announces Appointment of Scott Moffitt as New Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development.


ATLANTA -- Church's Chicken Church's Chicken is a U.S. chain of fast food restaurants specializing in fried chicken. The chain was founded as Church's Fried Chicken To Go by George W. Church, Sr. on April 17, 1952 in San Antonio, across the street from The Alamo. (TM) announced today the appointment of Scott Moffitt as Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development. Moffitt has more than 22 years business experience, including 16 in the restaurant industry. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales for CKE CKE Clock Enable (memory signal)

 Restaurants, which owns and operates the Carl's Jr., Hardee's and LaSala Fresh Mexican Grill restaurants.

"We are very pleased with the addition of Scott Moffitt to our strong franchise development team," said Doug Pendergast, Executive Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer. "I'm confident his vast experience in the restaurant industry will be a major asset to the company and our franchisees, as we continue our mission to build more Church's and improve existing Church's."

Moffitt's responsibilities will include driving franchise sales and overseeing the real estate development arm of the franchise division. He will report to Pendergast.

Church's Chicken will continue to be growth-oriented and aggressive as it seeks new franchise opportunities. Earlier this year, the Church's franchise development team announced a goal of signing 150 new restaurant agreements in the U.S. this year, and they are well on their way. More than 75 new restaurant options have been awarded in the U.S. so far this year.
