Chum in Plastics Hall of Fame.


Pak-Wing "Steve" Chum, chief scientist and Dow fellow in the Performance Plastics & Chemicals portfolio for Dow Chemical, will be inducted into the Plastics Hall of Fame, which is administered by the Plastics Academy. Chum is being recognized for is lifetime contributions in the development of polymer materials science materials science

Chum joined Dow in 1980 as a senior research chemist in functional R&D and has held different leadership roles in R&D for functional polymers Functional polymers are polymers with advanced optic and/or electronic properties. Advantages of functional polymers are low cost, ease of processing and a range of attractive mechanical characteristics for functional organic molecules. , foams and polyolefin products.
