) - Chugai Pharmaceutical has filed a new drug application (NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) An agreement signed between two parties that have to disclose confidential information to each other in order to do business. In general, the NDA states why the information is being divulged and stipulates that it cannot be used for any ) for bevacizumab, its proprietary anti-tumor agent, with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

The company is seeking approval to use the agent for treating advanced or recurrent colorectal cancer colorectal cancer

Malignant tumour of the large intestine (colon) or rectum. Risk factors include age (after age 50), family history of colorectal cancer, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, benign polyps, physical inactivity, and a diet high in fat.
