CDC, along with a subcontractor, Del Jen Inc. of Rolling Hills, Calif., secured a one-year contract in excess of $18 million. There are four, one-year extension options. The contract, worth in excess of $90 million over five years, commences Oct. 1, 1996, according to Michael E. Brown "We're ecstatic about this contract and the possibilities for future growth, as well as the experience this will bring to CDC. This establishes CDC as a major player in the military base maintenance business, not only in Alaska, but worldwide," said Keith Gordaoff, president of CDC. "We've experienced recent success in this arena at King Salmon, Adak, Wake Island and three U.S. Army posts in Alaska," Gordaoff continued. "But, this will set us apart from our competitors and should position CDC as one of the primary contractors for this type of work." Brown indicated that over the past months a search for qualified shareholders to fill certain positions has taken place.
