(OTCBB:KMED) announced today that Chuck Ludlam, Counsel to Senator Joseph Lieberman will deliver a keynote address at BioSecurity 2002, taking place November 18-21, 2002 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Ludlum will discuss pending legislation on homeland security, including Wednesday's vote in the House of Representatives for a Homeland Security Department, which is considered to be the most important legislative issue scheduled for debate at this Fall's lame duck session. President Bush recently issued a mandate, to reappointed Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, to get the bill passed into law.

Mr. Ludlam serves as Counsel to Senator Joseph Lieberman where he developed S. 3148, the Biological Countermeasures Research Act. Previously Chuck served as the principal lobbyist for the Biotechnology Industry Organization, representing 1000 biotech and pharmaceutical companies (7 years), counsel to House and Senate Committees (16 years) and the White House (2 years), and counsel to a regulatory agency (3 years). He graduated from University of Michigan Law School (J.D. 1972) and Stanford University (B.A., 1967). He has extensive experience with tropical medicine, having served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal (1968-1970) and visited 65 countries worldwide.
