Chubu Electric Power Develops New Artificial Zeolite Product for Agricultural Use.Tokyo, Japan, Sept 30, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Chubu Electric Power has developed LandPlus Z, an artificial zeolite-based soil conditioner Noun 1. soil conditioner - a chemical substance used to improve the structure of the soil and increase its porosity; "gypsum can be used as a soil conditioner" that is mixed with bottom ash Bottom ash refers to the non-combustible constituents of coal with traces of combustibles embedded in forming clinkers and sticking to hot side walls of furnace during the furnace working. , coal ash remains taken from a coal power plant's boiler bottom. The newly developed ameliorant helps improve soil's water and fertilizer holding capabilities, as well as its water and air permeability, so it can compensate the soil acidity.
