Chubb Expands Libel Cover To Address More Media Risks.


Chubb Executive Risk is the carrier for the libel libel 1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of  insurance program sponsored by the National Newspaper Association.

Working with Walterry Insurance Brokers, Clinton, Md., an insurance agency specializing in media organizations, Chubb Executive Risk will bring its media insurance products and services to the association and its 3,600 members.

Chubb said the relationship with the association illustrated its commitment to the media insurance industry at a time when other carriers were leaving the turbulent market.

The policy covers risks arising out of the gathering and communication of news to the public.
