The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has completed a two-day security evaluation seminar for 41 New Jersey law enforcement and emergency service officials.

The seminar will assist law enforcement and other agencies in conducting security surveys of both government and industrial facilities around the state.

"This effort appears to be the first of its kind in the nation bringing together the resources of private industry and law enforcement," said Victor Sordillo, global loss control technical services manager for Chubb Commercial Insurance and a member of a private-industry advisory committee to New Jersey's Domestic Security Preparedness pre·par·ed·ness

"Thanks to the leadership of John Degnan, Chubb has demonstrated how the private sector can make critical contributions to the safety and security of New Jersey's citizens," said Attorney General David Samson. "By taking a personal interest in the state's domestic security efforts, John continues to show the vision and dedication that made him a great attorney general and an outstanding corporate leader. Chubb has generously shared its expertise in security matters, helping us to identify potential threats and protect our residents and resources."
