Chronimed Selected To Continue Fuzeon Distribution; Distribution Network Expanded to Include Several Distributors.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 2004

Chronimed Inc. (Nasdaq:CHMD CHMD Change Mode Command ) announced today that it has extended its Fuzeon(TM) distribution contract with Roche and Trimeris. Although Fuzeon is now available through retail and specialty pharmacy, Chronimed will continue to be a distributor for Fuzeon and the exclusive distributor for Fuzeon patients receiving their medications through Roche's Patient Assistance Program.

"Chronimed is pleased to continue its specialty distribution relationship with Roche," commented Henry F. Blissenbach, Chronimed's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We have successfully completed our year as the exclusive distributor for the Fuzeon Progressive Distribution Program and look forward to providing service to our existing and new Fuzeon patients."

The Company reiterated that the opening of the Fuzeon distribution was expected and already reflected in its 2004 fiscal year guidance.
