Chronimed Appoints Karen Gilles Larson to Its Board Of Directors.

Chronimed Inc. (Nasdaq:CHMD CHMD Change Mode Command ) announced today that Karen Gilles Larson has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Her appointment brings Chronimed's Board membership to eight directors.

Ms. Larson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Synovis Life Technologies A Minneapolis based company, Synovis Life Technologies is a medical device manufacturer that recently celebrated 25 straight profitable quarters and earned itself a slot on the Fortune 100 Fastest Growing Companies and Forbes 200 Best Small Companies lists, and the Russell 2000® Index. , Inc. She joined Synovis in 1989 and held various positions, including Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, until she was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in July, 1997. She is a Director on the Synovis board and has served as a director of Reuter Manufacturing. Ms. Larson was named by The Business Journal (Minneapolis-St. Paul) as one of the most influential women of 2002.
