Chronicles of Keewatin.


A History of the Diocese of Keewatin, The First Hundred years, 1902 to 2002, a hardcover book with about 75 illustrations, is now available for purchase. The book chronicles the Anglican Church of Canada's heritage in the area, starting from the shores of Hudson Bay Hudson Bay, inland sea of North America, c.475,000 sq mi (1,230,000 sq km), c.850 mi (1,370 km) long and c.650 mi (1,050 km) wide, E central Canada. Hudson Bay and James Bay (its southern extension) and all their islands border Nunavut Territory, Manitoba, Ontario,  and by canoe from the Red River settlement Red River Settlement, agricultural colony in present Manitoba, North Dakota, and Minnesota. It was the undertaking of Thomas Douglas, 5th earl of Selkirk. Wishing to relieve the dispossessed and impoverished in Scotland and Northern Ireland, he secured enough control  to places like Fort Alexander, White Dog, Lac Seul Lac Seul is a large, crescent shaped lake in northwestern Ontario, Canada. It is approximately 241 km (150 miles) long. It has a maximum (regulated) depth of 47.2 m, with a surface elevation of 357 m above sea level. , Rat Portage Portage (1, 2 pôr`təj; 3 pôr`tĭj).
