) announced that effective today it acquired Silver Furniture Co., Inc., a manufacturer of occasional furniture located in Knoxville, Tennessee “Knoxville” redirects here. For other uses, see Knoxville (disambiguation).
Founded in 1786, Knoxville is the third-largest city in the state of Tennessee, behind Memphis and Nashville, and is the county seat of Knox CountyGR6.
. The acquisition was accomplished by a merger of Silver Furniture Co. into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chromcraft Revington. The surviving corporation in the merger will operate under the name of Silver Furniture Co., Inc.

Terms of the merger agreement provide for a cash payment to the shareholders of Silver Furniture Co. in the amount of $8,150,000 and conditional cash payments in the aggregate amount of $3,000,000 payable over a maximum period of 6 years.
