The Plainville, Conn., resident drove his No. 36 Chevy from mid-pack with 70 laps to go to earn his 33rd career WMT (Windows Media Technologies) See Windows Media.  victory. The pole sitter, Christopher led 82 of the first 100 laps and appeared to be the dominant car for the second week in a row.

But while under caution, Christopher had to come to pit road on Lap 121 with a cut tire and surrendered the lead to Mike Stefanik Mike Stefanik (born May 20, 1958, in Wilbraham, Massachusetts) is a NASCAR driver. He currently races in the Whelen Modified Tour, piloting the #16 Diversified Metals Pontiac. Stefanik was named the second greatest NASCAR Modified driver of all-time in 2003. . After rejoining the field, it was only seven laps later when he was skidding through the grass on the backstretch back·stretch

All that didn't deter the defending series champion, however, as he quickly moved through the field and finally got by Todd Szegedy on Lap 182. The result was his fourth Spring Sizzler win and his ninth win at the Connecticut half mile.

Szegedy finished second and led three times for 33 laps. Ryan Preece was third, while Stefanik and Chris Pasteryak rounded out the top five. The rest of the top 10 included Donny Lia, Woody Pitkat, Ron Silk, Jimmy Blewett and Ed Flemke Jr.
