Christopher Schroeder elected treasurer of The Washington Post Company.


WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 1996--The Washington Post Company announced Thursday that Christopher Schroeder has been elected treasurer.

He also continues as director of corporate strategy, a position he has held since joining the company in August 1995. In this capacity, he helps plan the company's growth through development projects and acquisitions in media, education, and related fields.

From 1992 to 1995, Schroeder was a partner with Thayer Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C., acquisitions group. Previously he worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Salomon Brothers
