Developers Christopher Partridge Christopher H. Patridge is an author, editor, professor at Lancaster University in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (U.K.), and founding Co-director of the Centre for the Study of Religion and Popular Culture.  of Metropolitan Resources of Long Island City and Greg Altschuler of Halpern Construction are ready to design and build a brand new 100,000 square-foot building to suit.

Since there is no height limitation in the area, the new building can have up to 10,000 square-foot floors with double height ceilings, and of course, the tenant's name "all over the building."

H. Thomas O'Hara Architects, with Garrett Gourlay in charge, is designing the new structure.

But this won't be a typical new Manhattan construction deal of $50 to $70 bucks a foot. The current parking lot is on a long-term net lease, and because the land costs are low, Frischman and his associate David Nadler, formerly of CB Commercial, say they are asking $25 a foot, triple net, with the tenant installation to be negotiated.

JDF recently completed a deal for the NYU NYU New York University

 School of Medicine to take seven floors of a building on East 14th Street, where the ownership is developing 28 apartments for the young doctors.
